Digital Preservation Policy

Health and Professional Leadership is committed to ensuring the long-term accessibility and preservation of all digital content hosted on its servers. To achieve this, the journal implements a comprehensive set of strategies, including:

  • Regular backup copies of servers and files

  • Continuous software updates and planning for future system migrations

  • Application of digital preservation metadata

  • Assignment of Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) to all published content

  • Emphasis on self-sufficiency, minimizing reliance on external systems, data, or documentation

  • Use of preservation techniques such as data rejuvenation, format migration, technology preservation, and digital archaeology, with periodic evaluations to ensure their effectiveness

  • Publication of content in reproducible formats such as PDF and HTML

The journal participates in the Private LOCKSS Network (PKP-PLN), a decentralized archiving initiative developed by the Public Knowledge Project. This network distributes content across partner libraries to create secure, permanent archives, ensuring the preservation and potential restoration of original materials if needed.

Additionally, the UIJIR Academic Research Foundation editorial team supports and adheres to the principles of Open Abstracts and Open Citations, promoting transparency and accessibility in scholarly communication.
