Crossmark Policy page
Health and Professional Leadership of Life is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality and transparency in all its publications.
To support this commitment, the journal participates in Crossmark, a multi-publisher initiative by Crossref that provides a standardized way for readers to verify the current status of a published work.
Research is dynamic, and articles may be updated post-publication with corrections, supplementary data, or retractions. The Crossmark button, embedded in both the online and PDF versions of articles, allows readers to instantly check whether a document has been updated, corrected, or retracted. It also provides access to valuable metadata, including submission and acceptance dates, authors’ ORCID iDs, funding information, license details, peer review status, plagiarism screening, and data availability.
Crossmark distinguishes between two types of updates:
-
Minor changes: These include formatting or typographical corrections that do not affect the interpretation or crediting of the work. In such cases, the Crossmark status remains "current."
-
Major changes: These involve significant updates such as retractions, corrections of critical errors, or changes in authorship. Such updates alter the Crossmark status and are accompanied by a formal notice (with its own DOI) that remains openly accessible to ensure transparency.
By using Crossmark, Health Leadership and Quality of Life ensures that readers are always informed of the most accurate and up-to-date version of the scholarly record.
