About the Journal

Aim:
Health and Professional Leadership is a journal that brings together research from different fields related to health. It focuses on topics like health leadership, managing healthcare services, quality of life, working conditions of healthcare workers, workplace health and safety, and environmental health. The main goal of the journal is to explore important issues in healthcare and workplace safety, especially how they affect people’s lives and well-being. It encourages studies on social and cultural aspects, health management, and the challenges faced by healthcare workers. This journal supports collaboration between professionals from different areas, including healthcare, occupational health, and environmental health. It also promotes new ideas and research methods that can improve healthcare services and working environments.


Scope:
The Health and Professional Leadership journal publishes original research, review articles, and other contributions on a wide range of health-related topics. These include:

  1. Leadership and Management in Healthcare:
    Studies on how leadership works in healthcare settings—what strategies are used, what challenges leaders face, and how leadership affects healthcare organizations, employee motivation, and the quality of patient care. It also looks at how healthcare is managed and how these methods affect the overall health system.

  2. Quality of Life in Healthcare:
    Research on what affects the well-being of healthcare workers, patients, and communities. This includes things like workplace satisfaction, patient-centered care, and how healthcare policies impact people’s everyday lives.

  3. Occupational and Environmental Health:
    Studies on workplace and environmental health topics like exposure to harmful substances, workplace safety, labor laws, health education, women's health at work, ergonomics (workplace design), and ways to prevent job-related health problems.

  4. Social Health Approaches:
    Research on how social factors—like income, education, and community support—affect health. It includes community health programs, safety at work, and strategies to improve health from a social perspective.

  5. Healthcare Education and Professional Skills:
    Research on how healthcare workers are trained, including skill-building, exam preparation, theory, and practical training. It focuses on helping healthcare professionals gain the right skills to do their jobs well.

  6. Working Conditions and Safety of Healthcare Workers:
    Studies about the work and living conditions of people in healthcare and other industries. Topics include job stress, burnout, mental health, workplace safety, and protecting the health of workers.

 

Visibility and Open Access:
The journal follows an open access model, which maximizes the visibility of published articles.

Frequency of publication:
The journal follows a continuous publication model, where articles after acceptance are typeset and published in a single volume per year. Therefore, the call for submissions is permanently open.

Speed of publication:
The journal manages the following times of the editorial process: 5 days for the first response from the section editor or pass to peer review; 30 to 45 days responses from the editor on the observations of peer reviewers; 20 to 25 days in layout, metadata uploading and publication on the journal's site.
The editorial team combines rigorous peer review with the efficient timing of the editorial process, which is done exclusively in electronic format.

Promotion and dissemination strategy:
The journal develops a strategy to promote and position published articles on social networks and web platforms, which contributes to increase exposure and access to the articles.
